Paw, Claws, and Magic Tales (A Fellowship of Fantasy Anthology #5)
5 out of 5 stars
This fantasy anthology features 16 short stories involving cats and magic. Some take place in our modern world, like a story about magical catnip that brings toys to life; while others take place in the past or in a fantasy world. Many of them were also like fairy tales or fables that had a deeper meaning, but others were just fun.
I liked them all. They were all very well written, and despite each story having a different author, they flowed together nicely. The first story was my favorite. Romeo, a cat, tries to help his owner find a partner to marry so she can take over as queen. Then a wizard shows up to help too. The interactions between Romeo and the wizard were funny, and this was the story that left me wishing for more. However, the funniest story was Black Knight. It’s narrated as if the cat, Black Knight, is a superhero protecting and keeping the peace in the house.
If you like fairy tales and stories about magic, especially those involving cats, then you should absolutely read this anthology. There wasn’t anything I disliked about this book, so I’m rating it 5 out of 5 stars.
