Spirits and Spells: True Paranormal Anthology
4.5 out of 5 stars
In this paranormal anthology, featuring 22 writers, some of the stories are recollections of their own experiences with the paranormal while others are fictional. Most of them are ten pages or less, with a few being longer, including a novella.
All of these stories are well written. However, some were more successful at being spooky than others, mostly because of their length. There were even some positive experiences, like a cat returning to visit their owner every night. Regardless of their spookiness, I enjoyed all of them.
The only negatives were that some were just too short and vague. And a couple weren’t even stories and were instead the author’s thoughts on the paranormal.
Regardless of those complaints, I really enjoyed most of these stories. So I’m rating it 4.5 out of 5 stars. If you enjoy spooky stories, and like personal accounts of paranormal experiences, than you should read this book.
