Dragon Hoard and Other Tales of Faerie is a collection of 12 short fairy tales. There is a variety of plots among the stories. Some seemed to take place in a definite fantasy world or far in the past, while others took place in our modern world, like a dragon that accumulates wealth with investments.

A lot of the stories had funny moments. Some of them were heart-warming, while others were a bit sad, like the troll that wants to see the sun even though it would turn him to stone. I was often left pondering the stories, and some of them I wished were longer because I wanted to know more.

I enjoyed reading this collection of fairy tales, and it certainly deserves 5 out of 5 stars. It’s a good book for anyone, ages 10+, who enjoys fantasy and fairy tales and is looking for a quick read over the weekend or to read a few stories as a break during the day.
